Fresco Fest is an event to raise awareness for violence against women in Italy. Despite lots of progress and achievements in the fight against gender inequality, women in Italy are still victims of harmful stereotypes, discrimination, and physical, and psychological violence.
Behind the Design
The logo resembles lips, symbolizing the need for woman to “speak up” about the cause, and the encouragement to say something if you experience or see something yourself. The swirls and use of continuous lines can symbolize a woman stuck in a cycle of violence or abuse through their visual representation of entanglement, repetition, and lack of clear escape.
