Pattern Collection
I have always been fascinated by nature photography. The world is filled with unique patterns and intricate details within plants and animals, often overlooked unless you stop to look closely.
For this project, I drew inspiration from a collection of my macro photography shots, capturing the beauty of nature's smallest details. The collection includes a main hero pattern, a secondary design, and a blender pattern, each reflecting the organic colors and shapes found in the natural world.
The Process
For the supporting patterns, I began by pulling colors and shapes directly from the hero pattern. I wanted to simplify some of the elements while still keeping the overall essence. A fun part of this process was creating the flowers in the secondary and blender patterns—they actually came from reshaping pieces found in the butterfly wings. It was a creative way to repurpose details and bring a sense of unity across all the designs.
